Visit By HRH The Countess Of Wessex to Surrey Dolphins Swimobility.
On 7th July 2015, Her Royal Highness, The Countess of Wessex, accompanied by the Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey, visited Woking Pool in the Park to present Surrey Dolphins Swimobility with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.
Over 160 guests, including many volunteers and swimmers, gathered in Woking where the Countess unveiled a plaque to commemorate her visit.
The Countess spoke to some of Surrey Dolphins Swimobility volunteers about their roles and saw some of the swimmers exercising in the pool along with physiotherapists and volunteers from 251 Signal Squadron.
Many thanks to Freedom Leisure who hosted the event, supported by Woking Borough Council and Surrey County Council.
